CHAOS

DJという行為をつうじてオーディエンスと共にパーティという空間を作り上げる - そのインタラクティブなアートフォームにおいて円熟の域に達し、さらなる高みへと臨むFumiya Tanakaのホームグラウンド、CHAOS。Contactで初開催となった前回のCHAOSでは、その磨き抜かれた感性によってダンスフロアは高揚と共にひとつの大きなうねりを生み出した。今回のCHAOSに登場するのは、これまでに幾度となくFumiya Tanakaと共演してきたZipだ。昨年にはZipの主宰レーベルPerlonからFumiya Tanakaのアルバムがリリースされるなど、さらに濃密な関係を築いているふたり。互いに年間50本以上のギグをこなし、現場ごとに異なるオーディエンスを相手にしながらフロアを熱狂へと導いてきた百戦錬磨のDJであるだけに、ふたりの共演には否が応でも期待が高まる。別フロアには、yama‘n、Shake M、Nao、Hisashiと、こちらも手練れDJたちがスタンバイ。その場にいる人たちが一体となって生み出される熱狂をぜひ体験してほしい。

All great parties comprise DJs and an audience coming together through a to-the-point selection. Most selectors tend to neglect this interactive side of DJing. Fumiya Tanaka, however, is an exception that proves the rule. Over his two-decade career, the Japanese veteran has mastered the art of DJing, making it all his own­. At the last Chaos night, he skillfully brought the dance floor into a swell of euphoria with his mastery of audience control, setting the bar high for the second installment at Contact.
Living up to all these expectations, Chaos features Zip. Last year saw the two DJs fostering their relationship with Tanaka's latest album released through the Berliner's Perlon imprint. Both have handled more than 50 gigs a year and won critical acclaim from each and every audience. Standing by at the other room are also seasoned selectors: yama'n, Shake M, Nao and Hisashi. With all these top-notch acts coming under one roof, this night only heightens the expectations.
