DJとしてのキャリアをスタートして以降、ディスコやラテンの要素を組み込んだロングミックスを通じてオールドスクールなダンスミュージックの神髄を数十年に渡って体現しつづける昔気質のハウスギャングスタ、DJ Sneakが7年ぶりに再来日！ 90年代にシカゴハウスのサウンドを新たに定義づけ、現在に至るまでコマーシャルな路線にブレることなく自らのダンスサウンドを貫き通してきた重鎮がContactへ遂に登場する。この記念すべき一夜を彼と共に彩る共演陣も見逃せない。ディスコとテクノを融合したセットで早くからDJとして確固たる個性を打ち立てたTasakaは往年のズンドコ節炸裂なるか！？ そしてRoundhouseのレジデントとしてお馴染みのシカゴハウス愛好家Remiが鉄板参加！ 80～90年代のダンスミュージックに再び注目が集まっている今、古びることのないダンスミュージックの本質を知るDJたちの一夜を存分に味わってほしい。

DJ Sneak is back! Since the beginning of his DJ career in the ‘80s, the Chicago house OG has represented the quintessence of old school dance music, blending disco and Latin flavours over his characteristic long mixing. With a genre-defining array of filter-heavy pieces based on disco sample loops, the veteran has remained true to his own dance sound, never flirting with commercialism.

Sharing the stage with Sneak on his debut at Contact and first return to Japan in seven years is DJ Tasaka. The question on everyone’s lips is whether he will make a retrospective return to the days when the Tokyo-based DJ boasted his distinctive banging style that playfully combined disco with techno. Needless to say, they are joined by our Roundhouse resident and Chicago house aficionado Remi, a rock-solid choice for the occasion. At a time when old school dance music is seeing a resurgence, the three DJs in the know initiate you into the timeless nature of the genre.
