音楽を深く愛する両親の元に生まれ、幼少期より多様な音楽に慣れ親しむ。
1997年よりボーカリスト / ギタリストとして様々な形態のバンドに参加し年間60本を越えるライブ活動を展開、楽曲も数多くリリースする。その後、Jazz / Bossaなどを中心としたLounge DJ Styleでキャリアをスタートし、Art Party主催などの活動を経てElectronics Musicへ深く傾倒していく事となる。
2004年よりDance Music Partyのオーガナイズを開始し、同時にHouse Musicを軸としたDJ活動をスタート。 それを機にAIR / YELLOW / WOMB / AGEHAを始めとした都内主要クラブ、全国各地の野外パーティーなどで活躍し頭角を現していく事となる。House Musicを心より愛し、Deep Houseを軸とした広義の意味でのMood Musicをベースにしたエモーショナルなスタイルは幅広い層からの支持を多く集め、詩的でリリカルに構成される音楽で聴く者の心に訴えかけ、感情を揺さぶり胸を打つ。
また、Barearic Disco / Electronica / Chillout Music / Ambientなどを軸とするフリースタイルでのプレイも評価が高く、ホテル / ジャズクラブ / レストラン / カフェスペースなどでのディナーミュージックや、アートギャラリー / ファッションショーでの音楽担当など活動の場所は多岐に渡る。
”2012年よりHausMusiqueDuo “Monat”をTaichi Kawahira × Tomoya Watanabeにより結成。相性抜群の音楽性を武器にStylishに展開されるMoodyなSound Scapeは各所で話題となり、大型の音楽フェスティバルや都市型イベント、海外アーティストのサポートアクトからUnderground Partyまで大小問わず様々なイベントへの出演オファーが絶えないDJ DUOへと成長を遂げ、最近ではハンガリーやノルウェーを中心にon airされたMIXも反響を集めた。
2013年に立ち上げた自身主催による“Brightness”はその洗練された独自のアプローチで瞬く間に数々の共感を獲得し、回を重ねるごとに動員記録を更新しながらここ東京の音楽シーンでも抜群の存在感を魅せている。また、国内屈指のイベントプロダクション“Eggworm”のResident Djとしても活動し、ALIEN RADIO@Sound Museum Vision / SOCIAL CLUB@Origamiを軸に、フェス / クラブ / プール / 庭園 / ルーフトップ / ビーチ / ボートと多岐に渡るシチュエーションでのGigをこなしながら感性を磨き続け、出演したそれらイベントでは着実にファンを増やし高い評価を得ている。
He was raised by parents who love music deeply, and he grew up listening to many kinds of music genre. Since 1997, he started to commit various kinds of music band activities as guitar and vocal. Released several songs of him and performed more than 60 live concerts for a year.
After that, he started his career as DJ for Jazz / Bossa / Electronica music and by organizing Art party he devotes himself to Electronic music.
2004, he started Dance Music Party and he settled himself into house music.
Since then he started to perform at Open air parties in various area of Japan, and DJing in Art gallery, Fashion show, Cafe space and also even at popular clubs around TOKYO area such as AIR, YELLOW, WOMB, AGEHA and more. His emotional sound based on Mood music, and House music as his core, is valued by wide range of listeners for his touchy and inspiring appearance with poetic and lyrical sound.
Since 2012, he started HausMusiqueDuo"Monat” with Tomoya Watanabe. Their stylish sound scape performed with their well organized and compatible musicianship, attracted attentions from many scenes and offered for several kinds of party events such as Large-scale open air events, Urban events, support act for famous guest artists from abroad and underground parties. Recent years, their DJ MIX on aired in Hungary and Norway area had gained public favor.
Taich Kawahira had been played together with Danny Howells / Jimpster / Moodymanc / Matt Torfrey / Mathias Tanzmann / Kink / Omid 16B / Halo / Juinior Gee / Roberto Rodriguez / Quarion / etc.
His own party, Brightness, started in 2013 was raising attention for its unique approach and had already become an un-ignorable event for the recent music scenes in Tokyo. In addition, he is a resident DJ for Eggworm, which is a leading event production in Japan. He plays for all the way of events from large music festivals to hybrid pool party, roof top party and even for the ferry boat party. His music and performance surely keep attracting fans and gaining repute with his musical attraction and magnetism.
