ベルリンの老舗レコードショップ、Hardwaxのカウンターに長年務め、またSubstanceやScionの一人として、アーティストとしても広く認知されているDJ Peteと、2004年からミニマルテクノの最深部で数々の名盤と言われる作品を残してきたSleeparchiveによる、漆黒のテクノを奏でるライブプロジェクト。
TR-101としての最初のギグは2010年Hard Waxが主催するイベント、Wax Treatmentであったが、2009年、Hard Waxの20周年のアニバーサリーパーティで二人による最初のセッションが行われた後、すでに数えきれないほどのブッキングリクエストと、彼らに対する賞賛のフィードバックを得ていた。TR-101はレコードをリリースせず、ライブのみの活動というスタンスを取っており、日本で彼らのサウンドを堪能できるのはレアなチャンスであると言えるだろう。
TR-101 is the collaborative live project of DJ Pete and Sleeparchive. PeterKuschnereit is recognized as one of Berlin's longest-serving technofigureheads through his work behind the counter at Hard Wax and in thestudio as Substance and one half of Scion. Roger Semsroth, meanwhile, hasbeen dabbling in the deepest recesses of minimal techno as Sleeparchivesince 2004, releasing a string of low-key 12-inches through his eponymousimprint, and most recently appearing on Tresor with Ronan Point in themiddle of 2011.
TR-101 stands for pitch black techno.The first concert took place at the Hard Wax 20th anniversary party [in2009]. Both had a great time on stage and got really good feedback and somemore booking requests afterwards. The first time using the TR-101 synonymwas at a Wax Treatment party in 2010. TR-101 supposed to be a live concept,there are no plans to release a record.
