7 For All Mankind was founded in LA in 2000 as a leading edge denim brand. On March 12th the label opens it first flagship store in Japan in the Daikanyama area. Le Baron hosts the after party with music from Scratch Massive who have served as a front act for Madonna, and avant garde DJ Funky Gong, who plays the guitar while spinning records. These cutting edge sounds will captivate you with their nostalgic new wave vibes. Scratch massive experiment with the light and shadow of electronic music, while Funky Gong mashes up funk, rock, acid, electro and psychedelic sounds to create sets that have won many fans all over Japan.

セバスチャンとモードの2人によるパリのエレクトロ・テクロユニット。一億総ロック化傾向をみせるエレクトロシーンの中で、KILL THE DJクルーと共にKompaktやDirt CrewからSasseあたりのスタイルにも通じるドイツ的ミニマル・フィーリングをストイックに保ちつつ、パリの熱波を十分に消化したアップリフティングでありながらダークでゴシックな独自のダンスミュージックをプロデュース。エレクトロシーンの象徴的存在として return of rock(ロックの再来) などと称賛されている。



These two Parisians create a blend of electro / techno that fits in with the rock-infused electro scene espoused by the likes of Kill the DJ, and which shares a sensibility with the German minimal of Kompakt, Dirt Crew and Sasse. Having rocked many a French dance floor with their uplifting yet dark and gothic dance music, these technicians are widely heralded for their part in the so-called return of rock .



■Funky Gong

DJ / Producer、角田実。80年代よりオルタナティブロックバンドでヴォーカル兼ギタリストして活躍。そんな彼が世界中のクラウドから人気を集めているエレクトロ・ロックバンド、 JOUJOUKA に加入したのは98年のこと。この頃と同時期にDJ活動もスタート。2004年からは、そのアグレッシブな躍動感とオルタナティブなロック感を持ち合わせたサウンドに、ギターを同時に演奏するという前衛的なスタイルで、常に新しい音楽の表現を目指しているアーティストである。



DJ and producer Minoru Tsunoda began his musical career as the vocalist and guitarist of an alternative rock band in the '80s. In 1998 he joined electro rock band JOUJOUKA, which has accumulated a huge following across the world. In the late '90s he also launched a career as a DJ. Since 2004 he has been fusing aggressive electro sounds with alternative rock by playing the guitar while spinning records ? testament to his mission to always showcase new sounds.
