狂喜狂乱必至のダンスミュージック最強バンドと呼び声高いThe Sun Paulo。謎の四打ちジャムバンドの異名が示す通り、ロックのダイナミズム、ジャムバンドの即興性、そしてレイヴパーティーのトランス感が渾然一体となったダンスミュージックと、メジャーからアンダーグラウンドまで古今東西のレコードをターンテーブルに乗せ、エフェクター等で無限に変化させつつ即興で創り上げていくサウンドクリエーター集団。しかし、昨年ドラマーの沼澤尚が脱退するという大きな転機を迎える。2009年、新しい方向性を打ち出すべく、その第一弾となるのがニューアルバム『People Get Ready』なのだ。心機一転のThe Sun Pauloとともに、今年一発目のアルバムリリースを祝して朝まで踊ろう!Are you ready to dance?



The Sun Paulo is an act guaranteed to bring audiences into a state of joyful frenzy. With a high level of rock dynamism, they improvise live on stage and produce the kind of dance music perfectly suited to trancey rave-style parties. They are a group of sound creators who have records on the decks while they use effectors and other equipment to create their big, crazy sound. 2000年に結成。翌年オリジナル・メンバーのDJ Really?が脱退し、ドラマーとして沼澤尚とキーボーディストとして森俊之が加入する。沼澤尚の超人的ドラミングに佐藤タイジのギターが縦横無尽に駆け回る 謎の四打ちジャムバンド の異名をとり、数々のフェスやイベントに出演し高い評価を獲得している。

The band formed in 2000 with founding member DJ Really leaving the following year and being replaced by drummer Nao Numazawa and keyboardist Yuki Moritoshi. Numazawa unbelievable drumming compliments Taiji Sato remarkable guitar skills and they gave themselves the subtitle Enigmatic Four-Piece Band. They have played at many festivals and events and are highly rated across Japan.

■MOODMAN

ムード音楽をこよなく愛する男。80年代末にDJ活動を始め、レーベル「DUB RESTAURANTCOMMUNICATION」、「M.O.O.D.」など複数のレーベルを設立し、国内外で高い評価を受け、海外でのプレイ経験も豊富。宇川直宏との活動や、ミックスCDとしては異例のヒットとなった『WEEKENDER』を発表し、年間100本を越えるDJをこなすなど「日本で最も忙しいDJ」としての異名をとる。



Moodman loves moody music. Since beginning his career at the end of the 80s, he has founded several labels, including Dub Restaurant Connection, and M.O.O.D. He has played many gigs overseas and achieved a massive hit with the mix CD Weekender. Due to playing over 100 gigs a year, he is often cited as Japan's busiest DJ.
