WR 2009 S/Sコレクションテーマである「Around The World」をタイトルに、IRMA records初となる女性音楽家Sakai Asukaが作曲したWRオリジナル楽曲と、彼女のデビューアルバム『33 ~Trenta Tre』から「Coming On So Strong」の2曲を収録したコラボレーションCD『Sakai Asuka Plays For WR』の制作記念をお祝い。包み込むような美声で歌い上げるスウェーデン発のユニットProvkoket のOrtizがリードシンガーを務め、繊細かつオルタネイティブなイラストが特徴の塩川いずみがジャケットデザインを手掛けたこの一枚は、まさにコレクターズアイテムです。Asuka SakaiとOrtizのライブを心ゆくまでお楽しみください。そして、おめでたいこと続きの野村訓一にみんなでHappy Birthdayを歌おう!



This night celebrates the release of the CD "Sakai Asuka Plays For WR," which features the track "Coming On So Strong" from Sakai's debut album "33 ~Trenta Tre" (released on March 4th) and the exclusive track "Around The World" which was inspired by the WR 2009 Spring/Summer collection, which is themed "Around The World". Music producer Sakai Asuka, who is the first female on the IRMA Records label, has created the track with Ortiz, the lead singer of Swedish unit Provkoket. The CD jacket features artwork by Izumi Fukugawa, making it a collector's item. With top creative types from the fashion, music and art worlds all in attendance, this is sure to be an amazing night!plus Nomura's BD Party.

IRMA records初の女性音楽家。m-flo、DOUBLEからNike Women等への楽曲制作・リミックスを手掛ける一方、大ヒットゲーム『塊魂』や『RIDGE RACER』等の楽曲プロデュースも行う。バックグラウンドであるJAZZを昇華させたダンサンブルなHOUSEから、彼女の真骨頂である美しいピアノバラードまで、世界各国の男性シンガーのみを起用した待望のデビューアルバム『33 - Trenta Tre』は3月4日発売。女性が楽曲制作して男性が歌う2009年型の新たな女性アーティストスタイルを提案している。



The first female producer on the IRMA Records label, Sakai has made tracks and done remixes for the like of m-flo, DOUBLE and Nike Women, as well as produced the music for video games including Katamari Damacy and Ridge Racer. Her debut album "33 ~Trenta Tre" (released on March 4th) features male singers from all over the world who sing on tracks that range from danceable house with a hint of jazz to haunting piano ballads. This concept of a female producer creating track for male vocalists is a very 2009-style approach that is sure to be a massive hit.
