Japan Music Week Unofficial Pre-Launch Party

日本初の国際音楽イベントとなるJapan Music Weekの開催を祝して、JMWが超プレ・パーティーを開催!イベントオーガナイザーやアーティスト、スペースクリエーターなど音楽に携わる全ての人が集まるネットワーキング・ナイト。この夜を盛り上げるのは、日本の音楽シーン・クラブシーンにドップリ浸っているDark BiteことJaybeeと、海外での経験豊富なDJ UskeyとT-GAMI。日本の音楽シーンを世界に向けて発信するJMW。その第一歩となるこの一夜。ル・バロンをサポーターで埋め尽くそう!

入店の際は「JMW Zero-Nine」と一言。



The first ever Japan Music Week is due to take place in mid-November this year, and as an unofficial supporter of the event, Le Baron de Paris is proud to host its unofficial pre-launch party. It's a networking night for Tokyo's top event organizers, venues and artists with a party with some top DJs. Just say "JMW Zero-Nine" at the entrance.



■Japan Music Week

日本音楽業界の底上げと国際化を目指し、日本初となる国際音楽イベント。開催期間は2009年11月9から11月15日。当夜ル・バロンでは、アーティスト、イベントオーガナイザー、そしてイベントスペース(クラブ、ライブハウス、カフェetc)を結ぶ「Speed Dating」コーナーの設置を予定しています。また、JMWのイベント企画・運営をお手伝いしていただけるボランティアスタッフも募集中。ル・バロン内に設置しているボランティア登録ブースへ、お気軽にお立ち寄りください。



JMW will be held Nov 9-15, 2009. This pre-launch night is intended to bring together Tokyo's top event organizers, venues and artists. From 6pm, we'll explain about JMW and how to join it, and try to answer any questions. There'll be networking events and Volunteer Sign-up Orientation and Application Booth at which you can tell us your skills and interests if you can give some time to help. We hope that with your kind support we can make Japan's and the world's music business more successful and fun.



■Dark Bite a.k.a Jaybee (LOUD MINORITY)

同世代DJの中でも高い人気を誇るDirk Biteは2007年、「Pub Rocker Acid Disco DJ of the Year Award」(PRADYA)を創設し、混迷を極める多くのエントリーの中、疑う余地無く勝者となった。そして、Samurai.fmの創設者である盟友 HASHと共に、フリー・ジャズサックスプレイヤーであるフランク・フォスターのスピリチュアル・グルーヴ名曲を冠した精鋭たるDJ集団LOUD MINORITYを立ち上げた。



Known for tearing apart dancefloors at pop hot spot Le Baron de Paris and occasionally elsewhere, Dirk Bite plays disco, electro, rock 'n' rave and a whole bunch of shit besides. He surfs the fantastic firmament of disco to outer regions of the sonic universe and brings it back a dancefloor-vaporizing sound at an hour your momma would be just starting to water the pot plants.



■DJ USkey(ディージェイ・ユウスケ)

高校時代にDJ活動を開始。MPC2000を駆使しビートメイカーとしてもその名を博す。CharaやWiseといった多数のアーティストに楽曲提供。オリジナルトラックを中心にスクラッチや映像を取り入れた独特のライブは定評。NIKEやadidasのローンチパーティや海外ファッション誌のエクスクルーシブパーティでプレイする他、海外ファッション紙のローンチパーティ等にも出演。プレイスタイルはハウスを中心に、ジャズ、ラテン、ブレイクビーツ、ヒップホップなどジャンルレス&エイジレスな選曲が人気で、レギュラーパーティーのMAKE OR TAKE、LOUNGE ACT、Signなどに出演中。



DJ USkey began his career in high school, where he was known for his beat-making skills on the MPC2000. He worked on many tracks for artists like Chara and Wise. His innovative live act, which is based around his own tracks and features a scratch performance and video, is highly rated. He has played launch parties for NIKE and adidas and exclusive events for overseas fashion magazines. His style is essentially house, with jazz, Latin, breakbeat, hip hop and more mixed in. He also produces regular parties MAKE OR TAKE, LOUNGE ACT and Sign.



■T-GAMI

1995年よりDJとして活動を開始。2001年にロサンジェルス、01年にはロンドンへと活動拠点を移し、イーストロンドンを中心にDJやライブ活動を行う。07年12月帰国。現在は都内を中心に活動を再開。07年5月に発売された『RACKGAKI JAPANESE GRAFFITI (Laurence King Publishing)』へ楽曲を提供。08年、ロンドンを拠点とするロックバンド、LEVELLOADの日本ツアーにキ?ボードとして参加。Le Baronで行われたG-STAR RAW NIGHTS W/DURAN DURANなどでライブをする。同年9月に発売されたコンピレーションアルバム、『ELECTRONICS#1(BIGTREERECORD)』に楽曲を提供。



T-GAMI started DJing hip hop in 1995. On a quest for inspiration, he moved to L.A. in 2001 and, in 2002, to London, where he started to DJ gigs in the arty East side of the city. A musical piece is offered to Rackgaki Japanses Graffiti (Laurence King Publishing) released in May, 2007. In 2008 he came back to Tokyo d it resumes. In 2008, he was the keyboardist for the Japan tour of London-based art rock band "LEVELLOAD", who performed live alongside Duran Duran at a G-STAR RAW night at Le Baron de Paris, Tokyo. The same year, he contributed a track to the compilation album ELECTRONICS#1 which was released in September on BIGTREERECORD.
