毎月恒例Le Baron Night with Reikoに今回はWTAPSのデザイナー、西山徹 a.k.a. TETが登場!人気が出ても、ニュースになっても敢えてメディアに登場しないストイックな男…五右衛門みたいな西山徹と、3D峰不二子→令子ママが5月最後の土曜日をしっとり、そしてバッチリ盛り上げます!
The fabled monthly event Le Baron Night with Reiko this time features W-TAPS designer Tetsu Nishiyama a.k.a. TET. Notoriously media-shy, TET will make a very rare public appearance alongside Reiko Mama to play some of his favorite tracks from his extensive music collection.
■TET (W-TAPS)
W-TAPS(ダブルタップス)デザイナー西山徹。STUSSYスタッフを経て、滝沢伸介(現ネイバーフッドのデザイナー)に誘われ NEIGHBORHOODで働き始め、40%という名でTシャツを販売。その後現在のW-TAPSを立ち上げる。ミュージック、哲学、文化、バイク、そしてスケートボードといったあらゆるカルチャーを吸収し形にしてゆくブランド。北京五輪ではBMX日本代表のユニフォームをデザイン。「A BATHING APE?」で次シーズンからスタートするコアライン「Ursus」のチーフデザイナーとしてW-TAPSのTET(西山徹)氏が参加する事が、TET氏自身のブログで公表されているが、ノーウェア社は「『Ursus』の展開時期や詳細については未定」とコメントしている。
TET (W-TAPS)
Japanese streetwear brand WTAPS' lead designer, Tetsu Nishiyama a.k.a. TET is leading figure in the field of streetwear design. His creations fuse Western and Japanese aesthetics to bring a punk-infused style to the Harajuku street scene. Tetsuya Nishiyama is currently the creative director of both Black Flag in Aoyama, Tokyo and of Hoods, a conceptual shop with outposts in Japan and various strategic locations in Europe and North America. He has deigned uniforms for Japan BMX team for the Beijing Olympics. He was recently given a leading role in the design of Bape's fall/winter 09 collection and is working on the launch of a new line called BAPE URSUS.
