プレミア上映:サーフ・フィルム『PICARESQUE』



ここ最近のファッション業界でいう「トレンドスポーツ」と言えばやっぱりサーフィン!波乗りでしょう!2005年に横浜で始まったThe Green Room Festival。ボードカルチャーをバックボーンに、音楽・アート・フィルムの全てをコラボレーションさせたこのお祭りで今回上映されるサーフ・フィルムが『PICARESQUE』!このプレミアイベントをファッションピープルの夜の聖地Le Baronで開催しちゃいます!ロングボードのプロライダーでフィルムメーカーでもあるMikey Detemple監督も来場。そして、『PICARESQUE』では波乗りに負けないサウンドを披露、プレミアツアーにも同行したバンドBastard Lovechild of Rock'n'Rollがセットを組んでライブを披露。サーフィンを愛する人へ、そしてサーフィンを知って欲しい人にお送りする心地よい一夜!

Surfing has become the pastime de rigeur of the Tokyo fashion world. Go with the flow! Ride the wave! The Green Room Festival was launched in Yokohama in 2005 and is a celebration of surf-related culture, including music, art and film. This year's event will feature a special showing of PICARESQUE, a new film from pro longboard rider Mikey Detemple, who will be joined at Le Baron de Paris by rock band Bastard Lovechild of Rock 'n' Roll, which will perform a live set. People who love surfing and those who are just curious about the scene should drop be and join the fun.

ハーレー・ロングボード・ライダーのマイキー・ディテンプル(Mikey Detemple)監修。2008年からフィルミングが始まったサーフ・フィルム『PICARESQUE』が遂に日本上陸!!今春から始まったアメリカプレミアツアーでは、ニューヨークからフロリダまで、開催されたプレミアイベントは全て満席!YouTubeやFacebookでも大盛況!バリエーション豊かなサーフボードを、今をときめくスタイリッシュなライダー達が乗りこなすシーンは圧巻。また、ロングボードならではの優雅な波への切り込みは感動もの。国境を越えた文化や人との交流、サーフィンの醍醐味や素晴らしさを表現している一本。

PICARESQUE

Directed by Harley longboard rider Mikey Detemple, Picaresque is an unusual kind of surf film shot in New York, France, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia and Florida. Out on DVD this month, it's a highly visually stimulating movie that is exciting and fast paced with an up-beat soundtrack. Mikey is visiting Japan to show the film at the Greenroom Festival in Yokohama and The Fish Fry event in Osaka. He's accompanied by Bastard Lovechild of Rock'n'Roll, who will perform an exclusive live at set on the night. There will also be a screening in later part of the night.
