オーストラリア・メルボルンを拠点にインディーズでの不動の人気を誇ったバンドDamn Armsの元メンバーTim Sullivan(ティム・サリバン)が、ここ東京を舞台に新たなプロジェクト「DAS MOTH」を開始。そのDAS MOTH手掛けるクラブイベント『TOKIO DISKO』のローンチ・パーティーを今夜ル・バロンで開催!
Melbourne, Australia-based musician Tim Sullivan is a former member of resolutely popular indy outfit Damn Arms. He has chosen to launch his new solo project DAS MOTH at Le baron de Paris in Tokyo with the title TOKIO DISKO. Attend this event, or you will miss having been witness to the birth of a new dance music star.
■The Presets
シドニーの音楽専門学校で出会った Kimberly Moyes(キンバリー・モイーズ) とJulian Hamilton(ジュリアン・ハミルトン)が組んだユニット。2005年9月にリリースされたデビューアルバム『Beams』が大ブレークし、後のシングル『I Go Hard, I Go Home』は世界中でマッシブヒットとなった。フェスティヴァル、レーヴ、コンサートを含むワールドツアーを終了後、2008年待望のセカンドアルバム『Apocalypso』をリリース。
After finding a musical affinity at Sydney's Conservatorium of Music, Kim Moyes and Julian Hamilton formed The Presets. Their debut album, "Beams", was released in Sep 2005, scoring a massive global hit with the amazing single "I Go Hard, I Go Home". Having toured festivals, raves and concerts all over the globe, in 2008 the pair crafted a second album, "Apocalypso", which won rave reviews for its elegantly debauched 'future pagan' sound.

Formerly bassist and vocalist in Australian indie band Damn Arms, Tim Sullivan began a new project Das Moth, with help from his friends and family. Why "Moth"? Apparently it was a nickname given to him as a child by his older sister. A new club event, TOKIO DISKO, is being launched here at Le Baron de Paris on this night.
