Louder Wednesday

大人の社交場ル・バロンがDJ MAARとREVOLVER率いるクールフェイスのTAMARIBAになるLOUDER WEDNESDAY。

A melting pot for sophisticates from all walks of life, Le Baron de Paris is overrun by two of Japan's most innovative musicians one Wednesday each month. The hosts are DJ Maar and Kiri, and the night is called Louder Wednesday.



■Big-O (PHENOMENON)

ファッションとミュージックを融合させたラッパースタイルを反映させたストリートウェア・ブランドPHENOMENONとSWAGGERを手掛ける。

Don of cult Japanese street brand Swagger and the director of the brand Phenomenon. His influence on the Japanese hip hop scene has been huge over the past couple of year



■KIRI (REVOLVER)

裏原文化最盛期の1998年にREVOLVER設立。ディレクターという肩書きだけにとどまらず、あらゆる業界に幅広い交友関係をもちながらも地に足の着いた真のパーティーピープル。

Kiri established the brand Revolver in 1998, the heyday of the Ura-Harajuku movement. Although he is best known as the director of the brand, he has many connections in other industries and is famed as a party monster extraordinaire.



■DEXPISTOLS (DJ MAAR + DJ DARUMA)

Daft Punk来日公演での共演、FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL2007ではレッドマーキー2日目のトリを務め、2008年ALL NIGHT FUJIでは6000人を超す来場者で入場が規制されるなど、圧倒的なプレイが記憶に新しいDEXPISTOLS。ageHaレジデントDJの他、リミキサー、プロデューサーとして活躍するDJ MAARと、ファッションブランドROC STARのメインデザイナーとしても知られるDJ DARUMAによる、東京ストリート・カルチャー・シーンが生み出した2ピースDJバンド。

Dexpistols is a two-piece DJ unit that arose from Tokyo street culture. Its members are DJ MAAR, who is a resident DJ at ageHa and is recently in much demand as a remixer and producer, and DJ DARUMA, who is known for a main designer of Roc Star. Costarring with Daft Punk during their Japan tour, and performing at the end of the program at marquee on the second day of Fuji Rock Festival 2007, their sublime performances are still fresh in the memories of all those lucky enough to witness them.



■GAINES (KIBOO + KOBOO)

DEXPISTOLSの先輩DJユニット。ヒップホップをバックグラウンドに持ちつつ、常に最新の表現方法を探究している双子DJユニットGAINES。MTVなどの番組パッケージやCMの音楽製作も手掛ける。

Twins Kiboo (who specializes in house) and Koboo (who is a hip hop devotee) combine forces to create Gaines. Working with PCs and midi controllers, their back-to-back DJ style has Tokyo's fickle club scene enthralled. They have produced music for numerous cable and network TV commercials and are kicking up a storm on the Roctrax label as DJs and producers.



■PELI

スタイリストでありモデルでもあるファッショニスタ・ハードメルヘンDJ。エレクトロ、テクノを中心に、時にお気に入りの'80sでパーティーを盛り上げる。大阪で行われている「Midnight Request」と日本最大級のガールズ・オンリーイベント「GIRL FRIEND」にレギュラー出演。

A stylist and model by day, when night falls DJ Peli is a fast-rising star on Tokyo's burgeoning electro scene. Her sets are rooted in electro and techno, and she incorporates nostalgic '80s tracks that boost the party mood. She is a regular at hot Osaka party Midnight Request and Japan's hottest girls-only event GIRL FRIEND.
