■DJマー / DJ MAAR (ROC TRAX)

若干18歳にして芝浦GOLDでプレイ。ファッションブランドROC STAR(ロックスター)のディレクターを務めるDJ DARUMAとDJユニットDEPISTOLSを組み、時に4台のCDJをサンプラーや楽器のように操るスタイルを披露。エレクトロダンスミュージックを軸に、ルーツであるヒップホップやパンク、ロック、レゲエなどを絶妙にミックスしフロアをジャンプアップさせる。

Since he began spinning at the legendary club Gold in Tokyo at the age of 18, DJ Maar has been building a reputation as one of Japan s most important music talents. The unit he forms in partnership with DJ Daruma, the designer of fashion brand ROC STAR, is called DEXPISTOLS, and the pair use four CDJ machines and samplers to create their sound, which is electro mixed with hip hop, punk rock and reggae.



■キリ / KIRI (REVOLVER)

裏原文化最盛期の1998年にREVOLVER設立。ディレクターという肩書きだけにとどまらず、あらゆる業界に幅広い交友関係をもちながらも地に足の着いた真のパーティーピープル。

Kiri established the brand Revolver in 1998, the heyday of the Ura-Harajuku movement. Although he is best known as the director of the brand, he has many connections in other industries and is famed as a party monster extraordinaire.



■ゲインズ / GAINES (ROC TRAX)

DEXPISTOLSの先輩DJユニット。ヒップホップをバックグラウンドに持ちつつ、常に最新の表現方法を探究しているKIBOOとKOBOOによる双子DJユニットGAINES。MTVなどの番組パッケージやCMの音楽製作も手掛ける。

Twins Kiboo (who specializes in house) and Koboo (who is a hip hop devotee) combine forces to create Gaines. Working with PCs and midi controllers, their back-to-back DJ style has Tokyo's fickle club scene enthralled. They have produced music for numerous cable and network TV commercials and are kicking up a storm on the Roctrax label as DJs and producers.



■ジョミー / JOMMY (55DSL / ROC TRAX)

55DSLのプレス、アーバンカルチャー、ファッション、ストリートなどのシーンを自在にクロスオーバーする神出鬼没なDJ。ヒップホップ精神に基づきエレクトロ、ダンス、ハウス、クラシックス、B-MOREなどをユニークにミックスしたパーティー感あるプレイでバリエーション豊かにフィットさせる音の魔術師。

PR maestro for the 55DSL brand, JOMMY mixes his beloved hip-hop with electronic dance, house classics and Bmore sounds into a unique party style magically crafted to fit any scene.



■ィトゥ / ITOOO (eye TOKYO)

伊藤啓祐。元WARP編集長。ファッションにも音楽にも独自の見解で切り込むそのスタンスは、ファッションから音楽までカルチャー全般に物申すコメンテーター的存在を確立し、WARPを退いた今でも変わらぬ人気と信頼のもと各紙面を賑わせている。

Formerly the editor-in-chief of WARP magazine, Itooo has a highly individualistic approach to music and fashion and has established himself as a highly respected and popular commentator about both fields.



■タカ / TAKA (ROC STAR)

ROC STARのデザイナー。東京のカルチャーシーンをベースに育ったTAKAとDJ MAARが、ストリートという枠に収まることなく、東京の今のスタイル、そして東京のカルチャーを世界に向けて発信するため、21世紀の夜明けとともに開始したブランド、それがROC STAR。クラブシーンを台頭しつつあるエレクトロミュージックとともにアイコニックな東京先鋭ブランド。

Taka is the designer of ROC STAR. Taka and DJ Maar of the Dexpistols were both raised on Tokyo street culture, but they don't limit their vision only to the street scene ? with the aim of communicating current Tokyo style and culture to the rest of the world they began the ROC STAR label. The electro music that is currently dominating the city's club scene also informs the look for this iconic Tokyo brand.
