From a background in punk music, Kan Takagi ascended to fame as Japan's foremost exponent of hip hop culture. With both of these educations informing his spirit, Takagi has developed truly unique musical style. Having been inspired by all of the people, culture and history he has studied and encountered over the years, he has developed into a sonic artist whose oeuvre defies description.



■DJヒラカツ / DJ Hirakatsu

『B-BOY PARK DJバトル』の2000年、2001年チャンピオン。また、2001年のDJバトル界のビッグネーム『DMC』と『I.T.F』でも日本チャンピオンを獲得し、ロンドンとサンフランシスコで行われた世界大会に出場している。

DJ Hirakatsu was the champion of the B-BOY PARK DJ Battle in 2000 and 2001. Also in 2001 he was the Japan champion of the worldwide DMC and I.T.F competitions and competed in London and San Francisco.



■DJケンスケ / DJ Kensuke

ヒップホップは勿論の事、R&B、レゲエ、ハウス、ダンスクラシック、ソウル、レア・グルーブ、80sヒットなど、新旧織り交ぜた幅広い選曲とミックスセンスの良さで、年間100本以上のクラブプレイをこなす。

From regular folks to club freaks, Kensuke's mix of old and new tracks from the genres of HIP HOP, R&B, REGGAE, HOUSE, DANCE CLASSICS, SOUL, RARE GROOVE and '80s HITS wins deep appreciation. He receives a great deal of support from dancers, DJs, party organizers and other industry types, and plays over 100 gigs a year.





■DJアッパーカット / DJ UPPERCUT

ハイブリッドな感性とターンテーブルの可能性を限界まで追求、その結果生み出されるトラックでポップスセンスとの絶妙なバランスを維持しつつ、あらゆるオーディエンスを惹きつける。2000年には宇多田ヒカルのツアーDJを務め、Jay Dee(ジェイ・ディー)やTowa Tei(トウワテイ)、Pardon Kimura(パードン・キムラ)とのコラボレーションを果たし、NIKE Prestoのプロモーションキャンペーンでは楽曲提供をするなど、その活動は多岐に渡る。

Using the turntables like a musical instrument with a hybrid sensibility, Uppercut's experimental techniques push the boundaries of the art of DJing to their limits. He boasts as remarkable sense of balancing the experimental and popular and has won a loyal following. He was the tour DJ for Utada Hikaru in 200, and has collaborated with the likes of Jay Dee, Towa Tei and Pardon Kimura, and also provided music for the Nike Presto campaign.



■DJパスカル / DJ Pascal

そのセレブ的イメージを裏切る"it"な選曲と、100%会場を沸かせるオリジナリティあふれたパフォーマンスで飛ぶ鳥を落とす勢いのDJ PASCAL。本業であるモデル&タレント業のほか、最近ではフォトグラファーやイラストレーターとして活躍の場を広げている。

Selecting "it" tracks to accompany her "it girl" image, DJ Pascal offers a performance brimming with originality and that never fails to fit with the mood of the dance floor. Besides her day job of being a model and TV personality, she has recently started to get into photography and illustration.
