The Tokyo music scene's top trendsetters gather for a night of dubstep, fidget, techno and mashup sounds from some of the few DJs who are truly pushing the envelope. It's going to be a hype and deep night that you won't forget!



■KIRI / キリ(REVOLVER)

文化最盛期の1998年にストリートブランドREVOLVERを設立。ディレクターという肩書きだけに留まらず、あらゆる業界に幅広い交友関係をもちながらも、地に足のついた真のパーティー・マン。

Kiri established the street brand Revolver in 1998, the heyday of the Ura-Harajuku movement. Although he is best known as the director of the brand, he has many connections in other industries and is famed as a party monster extraordinaire.



■YOON / ユーン (BBC/ICE CREAM/AMBUSH)

DJ、スタイリスト、BBC / ICE CREAM(R)のプレス。2002年、夫であるVERBALと共にAMBUSH DESIGN(tm)を設立。『ANYTHING GOES』をモットーに、世界が注目する東京ならではの楽しさ、繊細さ、独特なデザイン性や音楽性を追求し新たな表現にチャレンジしている。2004年、ウィット感に富んだユニークなデザインを表現するジュエリーブランドAntonio Murphy & Astro(tm)をスタート。2008年にはAntonio Murphy & Astro(tm)のセカンドライン、AMBUSH(tm)もスタートしている。

Yoon is a DJ, stylist and PR officer at BBC/ICE CREAM(R). In 2002, she established AMBUSH DESIGN(tm) with her life partner Verbal, which is inspired by the phrase "Anything Goes". They draw ideas from the many creative outlets in Tokyo to produce original designs. In 2004 they launched the jewelry brand, Antonio Murphy & Astro(tm). Using 18K gold, platinum, diamonds and other precious stones, they designed their own comical renditions of the mainstream Hip Hop jewelry popular at the time. Their diverse range of fans includes celebrities and discriminating buyers in and out of Japan. In 2008 they launched AMBUSH(tm), the second line to Antonio Murphy & Astro(tm). AMBUSH(tm) is more experimental using different types of metals, stones, plastics, etc., to express yet another realm of jewelry design.



■ITOOO / イトゥ (eye TOKYO)

伊藤啓祐。元WARP編集長。ファッションにも音楽にも独自の見解で切り込むそのスタンスは、ファッションから音楽までカルチャー全般に物申すコメンテーター的存在を確立し、WARPを退いた今でも変わらぬ人気と信頼のもと各紙面を賑わせている。

Formerly the editor-in-chief of WARP magazine, Itooo has a highly individualistic approach to music and fashion and has established himself as a highly respected and popular commentator about both fields.



■DJ FYS aka BINGO (HEIGHT TOKYO)

Fasten Your Seatbelt a.k.a. BINGO。自然と腰が躍動するブーティーなサウンドをデリバリーし、MCもこなす現在未来進行形DJ。スタイルはヒップホップ、エレクトロ、ダブステップ、フィジェット、レゲエ、ハウス、ベース、テクノなどジャンルレスに展開。共通点はFunk you!!

Fasten Your Seatbelt a.k.a. BINGO. Delivering a sound that makes your ass shake, BINGO works an MC element into his DJ sets, which mix hip hop, electro, dubstep, fidget, reggae, house, bass and techno into a crazed Shake Ya Ass mashup.



■TAKA / タカ (ROC STAR)

ROC STARのデザイナー。東京のカルチャーシーンをベースに育ったTAKAとDJ MAARが、ストリートという枠に収まることなく、東京の今のスタイル、そして東京のカルチャーを世界に向けて発信するため、21世紀の夜明けとともに開始したブランド、それがROC STAR。クラブシーンを台頭しつつあるエレクトロミュージックとともにアイコニックな東京先鋭ブランド。

Taka is the designer of ROC STAR. Taka and DJ Maar of the Dexpistols were both raised on Tokyo street culture, but they don't limit their vision only to the street scene ? with the aim of communicating current Tokyo style and culture to the rest of the world they began the ROC STAR label. The electro music that is currently dominating the city's club scene also informs the look for this iconic Tokyo brand.



■GALBITCH / ギャルビッチ (ROC TRAX)

DEXPISTOLS率いるROC TRAXに於いて、CATCHY-IN-THE-DARKなセンスとクイックミックス、そしてロックスターな前髪と謙虚な姿勢でポジションを確立するアップカマー。今年に入りオフィシャルミックス『Dressing Up Alone At The Graveyard』をHMVよりリリース、異例のロングランヒットとなる。現在リミックスを含め制作進行中。

With a catchy-in-the-dark sense, quick mix skill, and of course his rockstar-like bangs and humble attitude, Galbitch is a member of Roc Trax the unit run by top DJ duo Dexpistols and one of Tokyo's fastest rising electro DJs. He has released his official mix "Dressing Up Alone at The Graveyard" from HMV. He is currently working on a remix album.



KYOKO / キョウコ (XXX)

小柄で可愛らしいルックスとは裏腹に、鮮やかなレコードさばきでパワフル且つバキバキのELECTROを奏でるKYOKO。'03年にDJ活動を開始後、年間50本に及ぶパーティーで国内外のアーティストと共に東京のフロアを踊らせ続けている。トーキョーガールズエレクトロパーティー [XXX]のオーガナイズ、オリジナルトラック制作等、音楽への愛から日々活動の場を広げている。

Don't be fooled by her cute looks ? DJ Kyoko spins a banging jump-up electro set. Active as a DJ since 2003, she does over 50 gigs per year and has played alongside some top names from Japan and abroad. She is the organizer of Tokyo girls electro party XXX and is working on making tracks of her own.



■2BOY / トゥー・ボーイ (MILKBOY)

TOKYOのニュージェネレーション・アイコン。メインの活動は東京ながらも、日本各地にゲストDJとして呼ばれ、その勢いは国内だけに留まらず香港でのプレイも経験。エレクトロ、テクノ、フィジェットハウス、ロック、ヒップホップなど様々なジャンルをミックスアップさせたエンターテイメント性がありながらもアンダーグラウンドさを感じさせるHigh-BRID STYLEでフロアを浸食中。 DJ以外にも、ファッションモデル・グラフィックデザイン・オリジナルトラック制作もこなし、ユースカルチャーを牽引するマルチプレイヤー。

An icon for the youth of Tokyo, 2BOY is a DJ who plays gigs in the capital and other cities all over Japan, as well as in Hong Kong. His mix of electro, techno, fidget house, rock, hip hop and other diverse genres, which he terms High-BRID STYLE has an underground vibe that gets dance floors rocking. Besides his being a DJ, he also works as a fashion model, graphic designer, and makes his own music, too.



■ISOBE / イソベ (岩盤 RECORDS)

東京都内を中心に2ターンテーブルオンリーによるDJスタイルでエレクトロ、フィジェット、ボルティモア、ダブステップ、ドラムンベース、ヒップホップ、ディスコ、テクノなどをノンジャンルでミックスアップ!常にレコード屋というバックボーンを感じさせる新しい音楽性と、レコードへの愛情をフロアへ放つビートジャンキーとも言うべき変則リズムマスター。数々の海外アーティストを紹介し、エレクトロを日本にいち早く届けたビッグパーティー「GAN-BAN NIGHT」のレジデントDJを芹野貴之から継承した現在唯一のレジデントDJ。過去にはBOYS NOIZE、BURAKA SOM SISTEMA、DJ KENTARO、電気グルーヴ、RYUKYU DISCO、N.A.S.A、BENI(KITSUNE)、DEXPISTOLS、SUGIURUMN、FPM、FOOG、VERBALなど、様々なアートフォームを持つアーティストと共演を重ね、これからの活躍が期待されるDJの一人であるだろう。

Based mostly in Tokyo, Isobe uses two decks only to play a fierce mix of electro, fidget, B-more, dubstep, drum 'n' bass, hip hop, disco and techno. Having worked in records stores his whole working life, he has an original sense of music and a love for records that makes him an unusual beat junky whose passion is transmitted onto the dance floor. He has introduced many overseas artists, and has inherited the residency at GAN-BAN NIGHT, the big party that first brought the electro sound to Japan, from DJ Takayuki Serino. He has played alongside the likes of BOYS NOIZE, BURAKA SOM SISTEMA, DJ KENTARO, Denki Groove, RYUKYU DISCO, N.A.S.A., BENI (KITSUNE), DEXPISTOLS, SUGIURUMN, FPM, FOOG and VERBAL.



■JOMMY / ジョミー (55DSL/ROC TRAX)

55DSLのプレス、アーバンカルチャー、ファッション、ストリートなどのシーンを自在にクロスオーバーする神出鬼没なDJ。ヒップホップ精神に基づきエレクトロ、ダンス、ハウス、クラシックス、B-MOREなどをユニークにミックスしたパーティー感あるプレイでバリエーション豊かにフィットさせる音の魔術師。

■MASAYASU / マサヤス (MYSS/ ROC TRAX))

2008年ニュージェネレーションの新旗手として名乗りを上げるTSUBAMEとMASAYASUの2人によるDJ バンドユニット。ジャンルレスな音楽を柔軟に吸収し発信する多種多様な音像は、あらゆる形でその場の空間を彩る。DJ活動の傍ら、楽曲制作やリミックスも精力的に行っている。 2008年12月にリリースされたDEXPISTOLS率いるROCTRAXのファーストコンピレーションアルバム「SATURDAYS」への参加や、 THE LOWBROWSのファーストアルバム「For Whom The Bell Tolls」でのリミックス提供など、東京エレクトロシーンをリードする存在として注目を集めるアーティスト。

This unit, formed by TSUBAME and MASAYASU, is the standard bearer of the new generation. Their diverse sound smoothly absorbs music from many genres and is reflected in many forms in the atmospheres of the events they play. Besides their DJ sets, they are busy producing and remixing. They contributed to "SATURDAYS", the first compilation on the DEXPISTOLS' label ROCTRAX and did remixes for THE LOWBROWS first album "For Whom The Bell Tolls", making them must-watch artists at the forefront of the Tokyo electro scene.



■PELI / ペリ

スタイリストでモデルでファッショニスタなハードメルヘンDJ。エレクトロとテクノを中心に、時々お気に入りの'80sも混ぜてパーティーを盛り上げる。大阪で行われている「midnight request」と日本最大級のガールズ・オンリーのパーティー「Girl Friend」にレギュラー出演中。

A stylist and model by day, when night falls DJ Peli is a fast-rising star on Tokyo's burgeoning electro scene. Her sets ate rooted in electro and techno, and she incorporates nostalgic '80s tracks that boost the party mood. She is regular at hot Osaka party "midnight request" and Japan's hottest girls-only party "Girl Friend".
