世界中でフランス映画の復興を目指す「フランス映画祭2010」が今年も六本木ヒルズを舞台に3月18日から開催される。フランス映画祭団長を務めるジェーン・バーキン(63)も、主演作品『テルマ、ルイーズとシャンタル』を引っ提げて来日とのことで。今宵Le Baron de Parisにフレンチ・ポッシュが押し寄せる!
"Festival de Film Francais 2010", which celebrates French movies all over the world, is going to be held at Roppongi Hills from March the 18th. Jane Birkin, who is the President of this year's Festival will be in town to promote "Thelma, Louise et Chantal" in which she plays the lead role. The creme de la creme of French cinema pour into Le Baron de Paris tonight!

フランス映画監督。ブエノスアイレス生まれだが、両親が政治難民となったために13歳の時にフランスへ移住。91年に発表した『カルネ』がカンヌ国際エイふぁ歳で高い評価を受け、国際批評家週間賞・批評家週間ヤング審査推薦賞を受賞。カンヌ国際映画祭の上映中に1500人の観客のうち約200人退場したというが3作目の『アレックス』では、映画史上最長ともいわれる暴力的レイプシーンで物議を醸した。女学生の解放感と不安の対比を描いた作品『エコール』の監督ルシール・アザリロヴィックは彼の奥様。
