80年代にシカゴで産声を上げたハウス・ミュージック。以後、四半世紀以上に渡りハウス・ミュージック界に貢献し、その貢献度はグラミー賞のリミックス・オブ・ザ・イヤーの受賞という形で功績を賞賛された。この2012年年末は、DEF MIX PRODUCTIONS設立25周年という節目の年でもある。そのタイミングで、3年振りとなるミックスCDを11月にリリースした。「TALES FROM BEYOND THE TONE ARM」（トーンアームの向こう側の物語）2枚組で構成されており、CD-1は「THE CLASSIC SIDE」と題され昔の名曲のRE-DIRECTED物が多数収録されており、筆頭は「THE WHISTLE SONG RE-DIRECTED」である。CD-2は「THE SOULTRONIC SIDE」と題された近代の物で固められている。どちらも、相変わらずのフランキー節炸裂であり、必聴の新作である。そんな新作をリリースしたばかりの「生フランキー」をクリスマスに楽しんで欲しい！CDに収録しきれなかった作品を山ほど引っ下げて・・・黒いサンタがやって来る！！
