Funk BastardとAzul Looseによるスイス発のユニット。オーダーメイド・ロータリーDJミキサー「Varia Instruments」の製作者であり、Disco,Funk,Houseの熱心なレコードコレクターでもある2人は、2015年にコラボレーションを開始。多彩なバックグラウンドから繰り出されるB2Bセットは地元スイスでの知名度は高く、パリ、ベルリンといった海外でも多くプレイし好評を極めている。今回の来日は、17日のEN-SOF TOKYOと浜松Planet Cafeのみ。まだ、日本に知られていないロータリーミキサー「Varia Instruments」をPlanet Cafeに導入し、その音色を最高の環境で体験できる貴重な一夜となる。

Frank Spirit is a duo of two ambitious musicians who share a passion for vintage samplers, drummachines and synthesizers. The collaboration started with the decision to share a studio in 2015. Already the first sessions revealed that the blend of their different influences creates something fresh and unheard. Beatmaker attitude meets four-to-the-floor house. The combination sounds natural and organic, somehow familiar and unknown at the same time. In addition to their productions, ‘Frank Spirit’ stands behind the 1s and 2s mixing Disco, House and everything that makes you wanna shake your hips.

当日Planet Cafeに導入される2chのアナログロータリーミキサー。
横幅30cm、奥行き23.5cm、高さ15.2cm、重さ3.5kgというサイズ感。
各チャンネルとマスターアウトの計2種類のアイソレーターが配備されており、マスターのアイソレーターが急で激しい時に、チャンネルのアイソレーターは緩やかでスムーズになるよう出音を調整しあう仕様になっている。なお、それぞれ+9dbまでBOOST可能。

The RDM20 is a fully analog two channel rotary DJ mixer, with one phono and two line inputs on each channel. For your mixing pleasure we've developed two different three band isolator-banks and built them into the RDM20. One is set on the master and there's another one on each channel. While the master isolator is quite steep and raw, the character of the channel isolator is more soft and smooth. You can totally release your creativity with the combination of those two isolators and it's big fun to mess around with these knobs - believe us!
The RDM20 has two balanced outputs (House XLR, Booth Jack), as well as a separate steady recording output (cinch). The power supply unit is built in, no extra mains adapter needed. Analog VU-meters are indicating the level of the master.
