Ninja Tune傘下のWerk Discsや、PANといった先鋭レーベルのカタログに名を連ねながら、2017年からはBBC Radio 1のレジデントに抜擢された才媛Helena Hauffと、90年代初期から世界中のアンダーグラウンド・シーンで活躍を続け、Richie HawtinやMarco Carolaなどのビッグネームと共演を果たしてきたベテランAndrea FerlinがContactで一堂に会する一夜。Studio Xに登場するHelena Hauffは、エレクトロ、アシッド、EBM、インダストリアルなどの幅広い音をユニークなテクニックで混合させながら冒険的な空間を構築するDJスタイルを得意とする。sludge-tapes主宰のmiclodietによる実験的ながらフロアライクなライヴと、数多の現場を知るNehanのグルーヴとの邂逅には期待が高まる。一方、Wiggle RoomがサポートするContactフロアに登場するAndrea Ferlinは、長いキャリアに裏打ちされた職人技でタイトかつミニマルにフロアを奥深くへと導くだろう。「テクノ遠足」なるコンセプトのパーティーにてレジデントを務めるElli ArakawaとGalaxis、シドニーのFBI Radioを経て昨年から日本を拠点としているEllie Lockeとの共演も必見だ。

Studio X and Contact provide a musical melting pot of various talents

Studio X features Helena Hauff, a Hamburg native who has carved her name on the catalogs of forward-thinking labels like Ninja Tune's affiliate Werk Discs and PAN before chosen as a resident host at BBC Radio 1 from 2017 on. She will create an adventurous space where she demonstrates her well-known innovative approach that blends electro, acid, EBM, industrial among others. Joining her is sludge-tapes boss miclodiet with his experimental yet floor-friendly live performance, as well as Nehan, a seasoned DJ with a wealth of firsthand experience.

Wiggle Room will set the stage at the Contact floor for Andrea Ferlin, who has been active across the global underground scene. He has shared stages with techno giants like Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola since the early '90s. Wiggle Room resident Elli Arakawa supports the veteran with Galaxis and Ellie Locke, one of Sydney's FBI Radio alumni who moved to Tokyo last year offering a "techno excursion”. Their fusion promises to be another highlight of a night that will provide an exciting musical melting pot.
