Katharsisの始動以来、国内外のゲストを招きながら、深く陶酔へと潜り込んでいく漆黒のテクノグルーヴでフロアを魅了してきたkannabiとMasafumi Take。同名のレーベルを立ち上げ、今年、スプリットEPのリリースを控えるなど、今後の飛躍にますます期待が高まる中、ふたりがContactでパーティ2周年の祝砲を打ち上げる。
執拗に反復しながらじわじわと解き放たれていくダークなミニマルトラックで数多くの中毒者を生み出してきたRefracted。Oscar Muleroを彷彿とさせる緊張感あふれるタイトなテクノトラックを数多く世に送り出しているスペイン人アーティストReeko。国内からはハーモニカを駆使したダブワイズライブが話題を呼んでいるMystica Tribeが参戦。2周年の宴に相応しく、Katharsisの音楽性を見事に映し出す強力なラインナップが出揃った。都内テクノシーンに旋風を巻き起こす新世代の旗手としてKannabiとMasafumi Takeのふたりが打ち出すディープな多様性をContactで存分に体感してほしい。

Since its launch, Katharsis has featured an array of domestic and international guests, all curated by residents Kannabi and Masafumi Take, whose mesmerising, pitch-black sets draw the dance floor into deep hypnosis. Amid the excitement around an upcoming debut split EP for their label of the same name, the promising talents celebrate the night’s second birthday, inviting likeminded overseas acts, Refracted and Reeko.
Refracted has gained a devoted following addicted to his incessant, foreboding, minimalistic slow-burners while Reeko is a prolific Spanish producer who has spawned hard techno tracks reminiscent of veteran Oscar Mulero. Also stepping up for the occasion is Mystica Tribe, a Tokyo-based producer whose dubwise performance deploys a harmonica to critical acclaim. Aptly-cutated for the night’s second birthday, this strong line-up captures the essence of the Kannabi and Take’s ethos: a mesmeric variety of deep techno lies in store for you.
