NYブラック系ダンス・ミュージックの牙城として名高いパーティ〈The Shelter〉を主宰し、レジデントDJをつとめる“漆黒のマエストロ”が、DJ BAR東間屋とライブハウスTSUTAYA O-EASTがコラボレーションした1,300人のキャパシティを有するナイトベニュー、MIDNIGHT EASTに登場する。

91年にスタートした〈The Shelter〉を拠点に長きに渡りNYのアンダーグラウンドシーンの象徴として君臨しつづける TIMMY REGISFORDが再来日。気迫漲るダイナミックなミキシング、驚異的なロング・ミックスでフロアの温度を上昇さることから「マエストロ」との異名を持ち、NYクラブ界のドン、NYクラブ・サウンドの生き字引、ソウル・ミュージックの伝道師、連続15時間以上の超人的DJプレイなど、その王冠的形容詞の数々は枚挙に遑がない。またFela Kutiをはじめアフリカン・ミュージックを現在まで長い年月を通してダンスフロアに広めてきた功績も大きく、つい先日も"Ngeke (andhim Remix)"など数々の世界ヒットを生んだアフロハウスのヴォーカリストToshiと共作した最新アルバム『Life Music』を発表し、アフロハウスのトップチャートにランクイン。
厳しい審美眼によって選び抜かれた楽曲とアフロセントリックな感性が紡ぎ出す漆黒のダンス・グルーヴは、ここ東京でもクラウドとの間に特殊な絆で結ばれた独特の雰囲気を生み出し、シリアスなダンス・ミュージック・ファンを中心に現在も熱い支持を獲得。年末年始の恒例行事として来日を待ちわびるファンも数多い。2020年は、渋谷最大級のキャパシティを誇るライブハウスTSUTAYA O-EASTのフロアで、TIMMY REGISFORDが東京のクラウドを熱狂の渦へと誘う。

共演には、これまで何度も来日公演のサポートをし、国内外からの厚い信頼と評価を獲得しているDazzle Drums、毎週開催のTunnel Tuesdayや蜂の新興パーティDiscoなど活躍目覚ましいSouta Raw、DJ SPINNAやJay Danielといった海外DJ/プロデューサー勢の前後でサポート共演を経験し精力的に活動するHEAVEN、soul,funk,discoなどの選曲で多幸感と黒いグルーヴを表現し若手の中でも安定した支持を得るSancheの4組。東京ローカル・ディスコ/ハウスシーンの進化と新しい波を体感していただけるDJ陣でお届けする。

Jet black Dance groove!!! "The symbol of NY underground”, TIMMY REGISFORD will be performing for MIDNIGHT EAST early spring in 2020.

“The maestro of jet black dance music”, TIMMY REGISFORD is the resident DJ and the organizer of NY black dance music scene's stronghold party, , will take over MIDNIGHT EAST, the collaborative night venue between DJ BAR AZUMAYA and the live house TSUTAYA O-EAST with accommodation of 1,300 people.

Since 1991, starting out with the party, , TIMMY REGISFORD has long stood as an iconic existence of NY underground dance music scene. Under the name of “Maestro”, his ghastly and dynamic style of mixing, and the way how he gradually picks up momentum and turns up the heat on the dance floor is a legendary work. Including Flea Kuti, TIMMY REGISFORD has also devoted himself in order to penetrate African music towards the dance floor through out the years, and lately he has released the album called “Life Music”, collaborated with the Afro-house vocalist Toshi who has produced massive hits allover the world commencing with "Ngeke (andhim Remix)”.

The jet black dance groove spun by the sound selected by the strict, and afrocentric aesthetic of TIMMY REDISFORD creates distinct atmosphere, and his style earned reputation from every serious dance music fans here in Tokyo. Many crowds awaits for his visit to Japan as a year-end and new years annual event. In 2020, he will be playing for the live house TSUTAYA O-EAST that accommodates the largest capacity in any other clubs in Shibuya to invite all the crowds in Tokyo for a jubilant night.

For this time, TIMMY REGIDFORD will be joined by 4 groups of the Japanese local DJs. Dazzle Drums, a DJ unit who has been supporting TIMMY’s show in Japan oftentimes over years, a resident DJ for Tunnel Tuesday and also an organizer of the emerging party “Disco”, Souta Raw, HEAVEN, who has supported a party for big name DJ/producer in Tokyo such as DJ SPINNA and Jay Daniel, and Sanche lastly, the young upcoming DJ who selects black and euphoric soul, funk, and disco music will be showing up to deliver the latest local disco/house music scene of Tokyo.
