1980年代前半に映画『ワイルド・スタイル』に衝撃を受けヒップホップDJの道へ。1992年から本格的にソロ活動をスタートさせて以降、数々のサウンドプロダクションで世界から高い評価を得続けている。DJ公演においても、現在も年間30カ所以上のワールドツアーを敢行しており、インターナショナル・アーティストとして世界を舞台に独自の軌跡を残し続けている。ソロ活動30周年を迎えた2022年には、『道 -STORY-』と題して楽曲制作及び国内外にてツアーを決行した。
そんなDJ KRUSHが9月2日（土）にOPRCTに登場。DJ KRUSHの代名詞とも言える＜和＞を感じさせる楽曲を中心に構成された唯一無二のDJセットで、世界に蘇る日本＜JAPAN REBOOT＞を発信する。世界を魅了し続ける驚愕のDJパフォーマンスは見逃し厳禁。
オープニングアクトには、DJ KRUSHのアルバム『COSMIC YARD』で共作し、日本の伝統音楽を現在進行系に昇華させたサウンドを世界に届けるギタリストの渥美幸裕と、伝説のターンテーブリストD-STYLESの『NOISES IN THE RIGHT ORDER』に日本から参加したターンテーブリスト／スクラッチミュージシャンのDJ KEN-ONEが出演。それぞれ異なるフィールドで活躍している3人のアーティストの＜和＞が紡ぎ出すグルーヴに酔いしれてほしい。

[Opening Act] Yukihiro Atsumi, DJ KEN-ONE
DJ KRUSH was deeply influenced by the movie "Wild Style" in the early 1980s, which led him to pursue a career as a hip-hop DJ. Since starting his solo career in 1992, he has gained high praise worldwide through numerous sound productions. He continues to embark on over 30 world tours annually, showcasing his unique trajectory as an international artist on the global stage. In 2022, marking his 30th anniversary as a solo artist, he produced music and conducted a tour titled "道 -STORY-" both domestically and internationally.
DJ KRUSH will appear at OPRCT. Through his one-of-a-kind DJ set, centered around tracks that evoke the essence of "和 -traditional Japanese sound-", which can be considered synonymous with DJ KRUSH, he will transmit the message of "JAPAN REBOOT" to the world. His astonishing DJ performance which continues to captivate audiences worldwide, is not to be missed.
The opening acts will feature guitarist Yukihiro Atsumi, who collaborated with DJ KRUSH on the album "COSMIC YARD," and DJ KEN-ONE, a turntablist and scratch musician who participated in D-STYLES' "NOISES IN THE RIGHT ORDER" album. Both artists will deliver sounds that fuse traditional Japanese music with contemporary elements. Immerse yourself in the grooves woven by these three artists who excel in different fields, each contributing their own unique "和" (wa ≒ harmony).
