関西を軸に多くのレギュラーイベントを抱え、今なお幅広い年齢層に支持されている、”Hoshika a.k.a BABU”。　
DJとして30年を優に越すキャリアがあり、Garage、Soul、Funk、DiscoといったRootsを持つ彼のスタイルは基本黒く、骨太であり、80’s&90’sのHouse Classicsから最新のDeep、Soulful、Afro、Jackin、Techまで、あらゆるハウスを偏ることなく広くプレイし、音楽に詳しくない人をも揺らすプレイが特徴的である。

"Hoshika a.k.a BABU," who is based in the Kansai region, holds numerous regular events and continues to garner support across a wide age range. With a DJ career surpassing 30 years, his style, rooted in genres like Garage, Soul, Funk, and Disco, is fundamentally deep and robust. Spanning from 80's and 90's House Classics to the latest in Deep, Soulful, Afro, Jackin, and Tech, he plays a broad spectrum of House without bias, captivating even those less familiar with music through his distinctive and knowledgeable mixes

■SHINJI HIRAO
そのDJプレイが非常に強い印象として、一曲一曲が不思議に聴く者の記憶に残るスタイル、ダンスクラッシクス、からエクスクルーシブハウス迄、幅広く選曲する。ハウス隆盛期の89年単身ダンスミュージックの聖地NYに渡米。本場で実績を学びそれは培われた。6BOND CLUB、MK、FUJIYAMA MAMA、PEGYSUE、EAST VILAGEでのワンオフPARTYなどでプレイを重ね、94年に帰国。国内で当時のSTUPID SLICE、JUICE、RUBER、芝浦GOLD2nd floorなど時代性の濃いクラブでプレイ。
95年以降はclubasia、MILK、YELLOW、LOOP、等都内主要クラブでプレイ。
2002年DJ：KENJI MASUIとともに元soil&pimp sessionsのsax奏者、元晴氏をフューチャーしSLOW DOWN ORCHESTRA名義でCOA.RECORDSより作品を発表。その後もLOOPSOUNDS、Manuscript Records、MALVA SOUNDSなどから楽曲をリリース。DANNY KRIVIT氏、DJNORI氏、FUKUTOMI YUKIHIRO氏などのトップDJからプレイされる。都内を中心に活動中。

His DJ play leaves a very strong impression, and his style of music is one that leaves a lasting impression on listeners, with a wide range of music selections from dance classics to exclusive house. In 1989, at the time of the house boom, he moved to New York, the sacred land of dance music, by himself. He played at 6BOND CLUB, MK, FUJIYAMA MAMA, PEGYSUE, and a one-off party at EAST VILLAGE, and returned to Japan in 1994. In Japan, he played at STUPID SLICE, JUICE, RUBER, GOLD 2nd floor in Shibaura, and other clubs with a strong sense of the times.
After 1995, he played at clubasia, MILK, YELLOW, LOOP, and other major clubs in Tokyo.
In 2002, he and DJ KENJI MASUI released a new album under the name of SLOW DOWN ORCHESTRA with Motoharu, a former saxophone player of soil & pimp sessions, from COA RECORDS. He has released music on LOOPSOUNDS, Manuscript Records, and MALVA SOUNDS, and has been played by top DJs such as DANNY KRIVIT, DJNORI, and FUKUTOMI YUKIHIRO. He is active mainly in Tokyo.

■KenNYstyle（ケニー・スタイル）
大学生としてNYに留学して以来、10年以上におよぶ渡米生活で独自の音楽感性を磨き、帰国後2018年に東京中目黒のSolfaでDJデビュー。
Louie VegaやJoey NegroなどのNY HouseとNu Discoが軸、また時にはAfro、Funk、Technoなどのアレンジを加え、フロアに合わせて心地良いGrooveを創り出す。
東京では青山蜂、Brand Shibuyaでレギュラーを務めながら、WOMB、clubasia、Contact、VENTなどの大型クラブでのプレイ経験を持つ。小型のDJバーやラウンジDJの経験も豊富で、2023年から拠点を関西に移し活動している。

KenNYstyle.
Since studying abroad in NY as a college student, Kenny has honed his unique musical sensibility during his more than 10 years in the US, and made his DJ debut at Solfa in Nakameguro, Tokyo in 2018 after returning to Japan.
He has been playing NY House and Nu Disco music by Louie Vega and Joey Negro, and sometimes adds Afro, Funk, and Techno to create a comfortable groove that suits the floor.
In Tokyo, he is a regular at Aoyama Bee and Brand Shibuya, and has played at large clubs such as WOMB, clubasia, Contact, and VENT. He also has extensive experience as a DJ at smaller DJ bars and lounges, and has been based in Kansai since 2023.
