DoomCannon is the maverick alter ego of London-based composer, producer & multiinstrumentalist Dominic Canning. Having forged his craft as part of inspired outfits TriForce & Project Karnak, the prolific South Londoner is ready to step to the fore with his debut solo offering. A proud alumni of jazz music education and artist development institutions Kinetika Bloco and Tomorrow’s Warriors, DoomCannon distils the wisdom of the elders, while taking time to give back to the next generation, as he prepares to make his own indelible mark on the musical landscape. The stars are already aligned: a fateful encounter with saxophonist Ahnansé placed DoomCannon at the epic-centre of the Steamdown explosion. Whilst playing at their legendary weekly nights, he was approached by award-winning soul/ R&B vocalist Celeste to become her musical director, a position that has placed him on stage performing at the Brit Awards and Later with Jools Holland, as well as opening up new touring and recording opportunities. DoomCannon’s soundscape is a synthesis of lessons gleaned from forays into hip hop and free jazz, musical adventures in Brazil and life experiences as a young black man growing up in London.

DoomCannon（ドゥームキャノン）は、ロンドンを拠点とする作曲家、プロデューサー、マルチインストゥルメンタリストDominic Canning、の異端児的な分身である。TriForce & Project Karnakといった刺激的なグループで腕を磨いたこの南ロンドン出身の多作なアーティストは、初のソロ作品で前面に立つ準備が整っている。ジャズ音楽教育機関Kinetika BlocoとTomorrow’s Warriorsの誇り高き卒業生であるDoomCannonは、先人たちの知恵を凝縮しつつ、次世代への還元にも時間を割きながら、音楽シーンに自らの不滅の足跡を刻む準備を進めている。サックス奏者Ahnanséとの運命的な出会いが、DoomCannonをUKジャズの最先端として世界的に注目されるイベント/アーティスト集団“Steam Down”のブレイクの中心に据えた。そして、彼らの伝説的なウィークリー・ナイトで演奏中、　数々の受賞歴のあるソウル／R&Bボーカリスト、Celesteから彼女の音楽監督就任の打診を受けた。この役職により彼はブリット・アワードや『レイター・ウィズ・ジュールズ・ホランド』でのステージに立つとともに、新たなツアーやレコーディングの機会も開かれた。DoomCannonのサウンドスケープは、ヒップホップとフリージャズへの挑戦から得た教訓、ブラジルでの音楽的冒険、そしてロンドンで育った若い黒人男性としての人生経験が融合したものである。

Born to parents of Senegalese, Gambian, and Malian descent, and hailing from the outskirts of Paris, the multitalented Gadiaga has been making waves in the UK music industry since she moved to London aged 18. With a fresh and unique style that bridges the old school jazz tradition of musicians such as Betty Carter and Wayne Shorter with the raw, rootsy modern sound of artists such as D’Angelo, Stevie Wonder and Twinkie Clark, Gadiaga’s breadth of ambition and revitalising approach have brought early critical acclaim and ardent fans.
