東京出身の DJ／プロデューサーである RISA TANIGUCHI の音楽性は、幼少期から続くクラシック音楽への深い愛情と、ロンドン滞在時に没頭した UK アンダーグラウンド・シーンの影響によって培われた。

彼女が 2018 年に発表した初の EP『Ambush』（Clash Lion）は、Beatport Leftfield チャートで 5 位を記録し、Charlotte de Witte が BBC Radio 1 でプレイするなど、一躍世界の注目を集めた。以降も、自身のボーカルをサンプリングした独自の音作りと表現力で、世界中のトップアーティストやリスナーから熱烈な支持を受け続けている。

そのオリジナルトラックは中毒性が高く、ディープかつ鋭利な音像で構築される DJ セットは、ダークで幻想的な空間を創出。テクノを軸にしつつもジャンルを越境するその選曲は、瞬間ごとに変化する緊張感とカタルシスをもたらし、観客の身体と意識をダンスフロアに縛り付ける。

2024 年には、Chris Liebing 主宰の名門レーベル CLR より、日本人初となる 2 作連続 EP（『So Loud』『Wakes From Coma』）をリリース。特に『So Loud』EP は、Beatport Techno (Raw/Deep/Hypnotic) チャートで 1 位を獲得。さらに、Nicole Moudaber 主宰の MOOD から『Look At Hatred』EP をリリースし、Nicole 本人とのコラボレーション楽曲「Gorgeous」も発表。

ベルリンで開催される世界最大級のストリート・テクノ・パレード「Rave The Planet」へは 2 年連続で出演し、2025 年は公式テーマソング「Our Future Is Now」の公式リミックスも手がけた。これらの実績は、アンダーグラウンドに根差しながらも、グローバルシーンにおける確固たる存在感を示すものである。


国内では J-WAVE「TOKYO M.A.A.D SPIN」にてレギュラーホストを務め、日々の制作活動と並行しながら、週末には国内外を飛び回り、フロアの空気に呼応しながら進化し続けるライブ感覚の DJ プレイを実践。ミックスや楽曲制作においても、綿密に構築されたサウンドデザインとアンダーグラウンドへの鋭い洞察により、今まさに “世界基準の音” を更新し続けているアーティストの一人である。

Her breakthrough “So Loud EP” reached No.1 on Beatport’s Techno (Raw/Deep/Hypnotic) Top Releases chart, marking a milestone that placed her among the new generation of defining artists. Since then, she has become a core member of Chris Liebing’s CLR label, following up with the “Break It EP,” while previous releases on MOOD Records, Octopus Recordings, and Second State have further demonstrated her versatility as a producer. Each track reflects her precision and emotional weight, sculpting tension and release with an architectural sense of balance.

On stage, Risa commands dance floors with an intensity rooted in control and emotion. One of the most in-demand DJs in Japan, she performs every weekend across the country, holding residencies at WOMB and Ohjo bldg in Tokyo, while also serving as the only Japanese resident at Seoul’s fast-emerging Undercity club. Her touring schedule extends regularly to Europe and the United States, where her deep, driving sets continue to captivate audiences.

Her growing global reputation has been reinforced through two consecutive appearances at Berlin’s Rave The Planet (formerly Love Parade) and a powerful performance on the RESISTANCE stage at Ultra Japan. These milestones highlight her rising influence as an artist connecting Asia’s techno underground with the European stronghold of the genre.

Beyond the club, Risa’s artistry extends into other cultural spaces – she has composed music for two runway shows by Japanese fashion brand ATTACHMENT and hosts her own program on J-WAVE, one of Japan’s leading national radio stations.
