Neffa-Tは、ヘビーウェイトなグライムや、強力にドライヴするテクノ、UKマナー溢れるファットなベースミュージックを、自由自在に解体/構築するネクストフェイズのDJで、世界のエレクトロニックミュージックフリークやヘッズを虜にしている。UK屈指のロングランパーティBUGGED OUTのDJコンペティションの優勝者で、昨年、6台のCDJとミキサー DJM-V10を用いて収録された「6 Deck Technical Mix」と題する、Pioneer DJによって拡散された驚愕の動画も、その人気に拍車をかけるものになった。超絶的なスキルと豊潤な音楽感、溢れるイマジネーションはNeffa-Tを若くしてシーンの最高峰に君臨させており、それらはBoiler RoomやHÖR、Keep HushやRince FMなどの人気動画でもみることができる。この夜は、止めどないグルーヴ上で繰り広げられる驚きの連続に圧倒、翻弄されてほしい。

レーベルから数々の優れたグライムトラックや、SwindleやKode9、Royal-TやP Moneyといったグライム系のトップクラスの来日サポートなど、TREKKIE TRAXを構築する重要な要素のひとつがグライムであるのは言うまでもない。今回、Seimei & CarpainterでのクレジットにフィーチャーされるONJUICYは、Royal-Tとのトラック「Flat Shoe Riddim」を名門Butterzからリリースしているほか、Butterz ShowcaseのホストMCやUKツアーの成功など、このパーティが主戦場であることは間違いない。
昨年発売されたandrewの「Blueprint for The New Paradise EP」に収録された、なかむらみなみとのグライム曲「Duxi」とそのトラック「Pulse Clap Riddim」は、デモ段階ですでにBen UFOやBIANCA OBLIVIONなどを含む世界中のアーティストにプレイされおり、リリース直後のインタビューではテクノとグライムの関係性とNeffa-Tのスタイルについて言及している。

6月19日、TREKKIE TRAXからFetusのファーストアルバム「b1 b2」がドロップされた。2022年に発表されたOyubiとのトラック「Earnin It」はBen UFOやNoisia、London Elektricity、SHERELLEといったビッグネームにサポートされるほどの反響で、Fetusはすでにグローバルに注目を浴びるアーティストになっている。Fetusの集大成といえる今作も、ドラムンベースやジューク、フットワークの要素を含みながらも全くのオリジナルな構成で、国内のベースミュージック作品のマイルストーンといっても過言ではない。

ウガンダ最大のフェスティバルNyege Nyege Festivalに出演を果たしたTYO GQOMクルーのUKベースパーツを担うK8は、過去にNeffa-Tが運営するRinse FMのプログラムに招かれており、様々な点が結ばれるこの夜の音楽濃度をいよいよ極めている。
さらに、MUTEKや解体新書等、数々の電子音楽イベントや、Kode9やThrowing Snowの来日をサポートしてきた、鬼才Saskiaのブリストルからの帰国をキャッチ。先日、Crack Magazineからアップされたミックスでは、ベースとテクノ、エレクトロニカが融合した、リスナーの細胞を騒がす途轍もないミックスを披露している。

「Long-awaited visit to Japan by the UK grime scene's premier scientist, Neffa-T」

Neffa-T is a next-phase DJ who freely deconstructs/constructs heavyweight grime, powerfully driving techno and fat bass music with UK manners, captivating electronic music freaks and heads worldwide. He is a winner of the DJ competition at one of the UK's longest-running parties BUGGED OUT, the astonishing video spread by Pioneer DJ last year entitled '6 Deck Technical Mix', recorded using six CDJs and a DJM-V10 mixer, also added to his popularity. The video was also made by a Pioneer DJ. His superb skills, rich musicality and overflowing imagination have made Neffa-T one of the scene's best at a young age, and can be seen in popular videos on Boiler Room, HÖR, Keep Hush, Rince FM and more. On this night, be overwhelmed and tossed about by a series of surprises that unfold over an unstoppable groove.

With a number of excellent grime tracks on the label, and support from top grime names such as Swindle, Kode9, Royal-T and P Money coming to Japan, it goes without saying that grime is an important part of what makes TREKKIE TRAX what it is. ONJUICY, who will feature in the credits at Seimei & Carpainter this time, has released the track 'Flat Shoe Riddim' with Royal-T on the prestigious Butterz label, hosted MC at the Butterz Showcase and had a successful UK tour. The party is definitely a mainstay. The grime song 'Duxi' with なかむらみなみ and its track 'Pulse Clap Riddim' on andrew's 'Blueprint for The New Paradise EP', which was released last year, has already been played by Ben UFO, BIANCA OBLIVION and others at demo stage. On 19th of June, Fetus' first album 'b1 b2' dropped on TREKKIE TRAX. K8, the UK bass parts of the TYO GQOM crew who performed at Uganda's biggest festival Nyege Nyege Festival, have in the past been invited to play on Neffa-T's Rinse FM programme and are finally mastering the musical density of the night where many dots are connected.

We also caught up with the return from Bristol of the prodigious Saskia, who has supported numerous electronic music events such as MUTEK and 解体新書, and visits to Japan by Kode9 and Throwing Snow. The mix, recently uploaded by Crack Magazine, is a tremendous fusion of bass, techno and electronica that gets listeners' cells buzzing.
