'Be My Friend' marks Elef's territory clearly, introducing a heavy rumbling groove which gradually builds to tie in with a funky, classic house keys riff. Bluesy, freestyle vocal snippets form the basis of the musical energy in this tough and original dj's delight. Turning our attention to 'Panama Express', we find much the same energy present in this jacking and raw house jam. Intricate chord arrangements and more trademark subliminal vocal manipulations combine in a thrilling ride. Still going strong, 'Sweatin’' pushes on further into the night with its urgent vibe and straight up stomp. Plentiful, tight beats and warm, rich percussion make it an unmissable addition to the EP.
