日本を代表するダンスミュージックレーベルmule musiqによるパーティーcatsがContactで初開催される。この記念すべき一夜を彩るゲストには、ハウスからインディーダンス、ニューディスコまでを網羅するサウンドでヨーロッパのシーンを牽引するJohn Talabotと、 そのTalabotが主宰するレーベルHivern Discsに快作を残しているイスラエルのテルアビブ拠点のユニットRed Axesが登場する。躍進作となった1stアルバム「ƒIN」から早5年となるJohn Talabotは、昨年唯一のリリースだったシングル「Voices」がGerd Janson監修の「Fabric 89」に収録され、そしてこの3月には、ここ数年は頻繁にツアーを共にしているAxel BomanとのプロジェクトTalabomanでのアルバムリリースを控えているなど、話題を欠かさない活躍ぶり。一方のDori SadovnikとNiv ArziによるRed Axesも、2015年と2016年の2年間で約15作のEPとシングルを発表し、ラテンやクンビアなどを取り入れた独自のオルタナティヴ・ディスコ／ハウスで欧米のシーンを席巻している。年間を通してフルにブッキングされている多忙な2組の共演は見逃し厳禁だ。

Prominent Japanese dance music label mule musiq launches its new party “cats” here at Contact. Stepping up to celebrate the memorable occasion are John Talabot and Red Axes.
Talabot is a leading figure in Europe thanks to his broad sonic palette that covers everything from house, indie dance to nu-disco, while Tel Aviv-based duo Red Axes have carved out their reputation with outstanding creations for the Talabot’s Hivern Discs imprint.
Over the course of five years after his breakthough debut album “ƒIN”, Talabot has shown no sign of slowing down. His release “Voices” in 2016 was featured in Fabric 89 by Gerd Janson and a new LP in the pipeline under the Talaboman moniker, a collaborative project with his recent touring partner Axel Boman.
Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi's prolific project Red Axes have created a stir with staggering 15 EPs full of their distinctive off-kilter takes on disco and house influenced by Latin and Cuban.
This launch party promises to be a rare assembly in which three of the world’s busiest DJs will gather to give an alternative definition of house music.
