『日本が誇るベース・ミュージック・クルーによる饗宴』

TREKKIE TRAX、SPRAYBOX、NEKO MAFIA。ベース・ミュージック好きであれば、このいずれか、あるいは全てのクルーの音楽に触れたことがあるのではないだろうか。現行シーンと歴史を考えると、これらのクルーを入り口にベース・ミュージックにのめり込んだというリスナーも少なくないはずだ。

R LOUNGEの13周年は、鮮明な輪郭とサウンドシステム・ライクな低域に定評のあるR LOUNGEのシステムTW AUDiOで、国内最先鋒で超イマジナティブなベースクルーを堪能する祝祭だ。

TREKKIE TRAXとR LOUNGEは、これまでにもTommy HolohanやNeffa-T、Hodge、Kush Jones、Big Dope Pなど、レーベルのプロダクションの文脈をフロアに投影するセッションを重ねてきた。Seimei、Carpainter、andrewの膨大なトラックリストとイマジネーションによって創られる空間は、共感と驚きが連続する極めて高揚的で多幸的なものだ。今回はレーベル・ディレクターfutatsukiを含む、DJ/サウンド・ユニットTREKKIE TRAX CREWでの出演が実現した。

SPRAYBOXはパーティ/レーベルとしてUK本国との架け橋となっていて、アジアの重要なハブにもなっている。SPRAYBOXと、レーベルのパーティラインRIPは、ここ3年だけでもSoul Mass Transit SystemやDJ Q、efanやDJ Hybrid、Higgo、Mattik、Thorpey、Shardaといった、ハイクラスから興味深いアップアンドカミングなプロデューサーまで、招致を重ねている。さらに、昨今では韓国でのギグやオーストラリアツアーの成功などアジア圏での活動も目覚ましい。UKガラージ/ベースラインやグライムを軸におくスタイリッシュな音像と緻密にスウィングするファットなサウンドは中毒性が高い。

2025年に結成して間もなく、東京シーンの中心に躍り出たNEKO MAFIAの勢いが凄まじい。akii、Alice 幸、Alex B、M.I.Oからなるこのクルーは、ダブとハウス、ベース要素を特殊性/優位性としながらもジャンルを越えるのを躊躇せず、ときにダークに、ときにハッピーな、アンダーグラウンドでありながらポップな情景を描く。

さらにこの日は、六本木CUBEの音響や照明、映像の設計を含めた、ディレクションを務めるTakurou Kawakamiによるレーザーがインストールされる。

Looking at the current scene and its history, there are surely no small number of listeners who first fell deep into bass music through one of these very crews.

R LOUNGE's 13th anniversary is a celebration where you can savour Japan's most pioneering and supremely imaginative bass crews through the R LOUNGE TW AUDiO system, renowned for its razor-sharp definition and system-like low end.

TREKKIE TRAX and R LOUNGE have built up numerous sessions that project the label's production context onto the dance floor, featuring artists such as Tommy Holohan, Neffa-T, Hodge, Kush Jones and Big Dope P. The space conjured by the vast tracklists and imagination of Seimei, Carpainter and andrew is an exceptionally euphoric and blissful experience — one of continuous empathy and surprise. This time, a performance by the DJ/sound unit TREKKIE TRAX CREW, including label director futatsuki, has been realised.

SPRAYBOX operates as both a party and label, serving as a bridge to the UK itself and functioning as a key hub across Asia. Over the past three years alone, SPRAYBOX and its party line RIP have consistently brought in an impressive roster ranging from high-calibre names to fascinating up-and-coming producers, including Soul Mass Transit System, DJ Q, efan, DJ Hybrid, Higgo, Mattik, Thorpey and Sharda. Their activities across Asia have also been remarkable of late, with successful gigs in South Korea and a tour of Australia. Their stylish sound, rooted in UK garage, bassline and grime, combined with a fat, meticulously swinging groove, is nothing short of addictive.

Formed in 2025, NEKO MAFIA have exploded onto the centre of the Tokyo scene with extraordinary momentum. Comprising akii, Alice 幸, Alex B and M.I.O, this crew draws on dub, house and bass elements as their defining strengths, while never hesitating to cross genres — painting a soundscape that is at times dark, at times happy, underground yet undeniably pop.

On this occasion, a laser installation by Takurou Kawakami — who handles the overall direction of Roppongi CUBE including its sound, lighting and visual design — will also be in place.
