バイレファンキは、マイアミベースやエレクトロファンクをルーツにもつリオデジャネイロ産ダンスミュージックで、エレクトロニクスの向上に伴って途方もない進化をとげてきた。さらに飛躍した派生ジャンルのブルシャリアは、なお歪んだシンセサイザーや誇張された高音域を特徴とし、バイレファンキからの音楽的な逸脱と強烈な覚醒作用で本国のメインストリームにまで迫っている。

「A blazing night centred on Baile Funk/Bruxaria, crossing genres」

Baile Funk is a Rio de Janeiro-born dance music genre with roots in Miami bass and electro-funk, which has undergone tremendous evolution alongside advances in electronic production. Its more radical offshoot, Bruxaria, is characterised by distorted synthesizers and exaggerated high frequencies. Its musical departure from Baile Funk, combined with its intense, almost hallucinatory energy, has pushed it to the brink of the mainstream in its homeland.

BAPHO emerges and disappears — a scorching night where Baile Funk / Bruxaria and electronic music converge, hosted by nomotonootooto and UMY.
